Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process and related administration to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Coordinate and process weekly payroll, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data on HR3, prepare reports, and process salary adjustments, leave, and terminations.
  • Manage deductions, job costing allocations, superannuation, Payroll Tax, and Construction LSL.
  • Facilitate salary transfers, reconcile PAYG Payment Summaries, and ensure timely submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Advise on payroll procedures, compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve payroll issues, maintain accurate records, and liaise with management, employees, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in a payroll position within a similar industry, strong knowledge of award and enterprise agreement interpretation, and in-depth understanding of payroll systems, procedures, statutory requirements, and accounting standards. They will also have experience with payroll software (HR3 preferred), proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
