Aquatic Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an Aquatic Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and knowledge of fish and aquatic ecosystems, with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is passionate about fish and has a customer-focused approach. You will be responsible for maintaining aquariums and ponds, as well as assisting in administration activities when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A keen interest and knowledge of fish and aquatic ecosystems
  • Good knowledge of aquarium and pond designs and filtration systems
  • Drivers License
  • Police clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Fitness level to work long hours when required
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Good attitude and commitment to clients
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual and organised
  • Previous experience in pet shops or fish shops
  • A reasonable knowledge of fish diseases

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28-$40 per hour, with expected hours ranging from 15-40 per week. The successful candidate will require a valid work authorization for Australia and will be based in person at our location.
