About the Role

GTAL is seeking a highly skilled Financial Statement Reporting Associate to join our Sydney Private Business Tax and advisory Division.

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering precise and compliant financial statements. You will work closely with dedicated team members and esteemed clients to ensure the highest standards in financial reporting.

Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.

The successful candidate will also possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
  • Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
  • Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
  • Compile GPFS and SPFS.
  • Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients' businesses and industries in which clients operate.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.
