This is a Financial Reporting Accountant role with Grant Thornton Australia, a leading company in Australia, where you will be part of the Sydney Private Business Tax and Advisory Division. You will play a vital role in delivering precise and compliant financial statements, working alongside a dedicated team and esteemed clients to ensure the highest standards in financial reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Providing accounting support to the PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
  • Assisting the National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
  • Ensuring financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Being a resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
  • Compiling GPFS and SPFS.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation software (e.g., Acurri).
