We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic engineer to complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead, assist other engineers with projects, provide Obsolescence Report and support, assist in client reporting and attend site as required.

  • Be available to work on an ad-hoc basis with flexible hours and varied tasks.
  • Support help desk activities for remote and centralized Maintenance activities.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Continuously monitor signalling system component lifecycles and supply chain data to identify potential obsolescence issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure a coordinated approach to obsolescence management.
  • Investigate and resolve complex obsolescence issues ensuring minimal disruption to production and ongoing operations.
  • Seek out and implement innovative solutions to extend the lifespan of products and minimize the impact of obsolescence.
  • Maintain obsolescence tracking tools and generate regular reports.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to stay ahead of lifecycle changes.
  • Assist team leaders with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, attend workshops, and other training initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws and policies including the reporting of all safety incidents using procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Railway Signalling Systems.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Software System or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Product Expertise: Knowledge on critical signalling wayside, onboard and train control systems/equipment.
  • Familiarity with BOM management tools and obsolescence databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication with effective stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Superb time management and professionalism.
