We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Urban Designer to join our team at Ku-ring-gai Council. As a key member of our urban design team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement urban design strategies, plans, and policies to ensure new developments align with our council's vision and goals.
  • Assess and provide advice on Planning Proposals and Development Applications to ensure they meet our council's requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to our team on urban design projects, including master planning and 3D modeling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community members, developers, and other council teams, to ensure effective communication and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our council's urban design practices are current and effective.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in urban design, architecture, or urban planning.
  • Proven track record of managing urban design projects and consultants.
  • Advanced computer literacy in CAD, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
