Cold Store Operator Role
The role of a Cold Store Operator is a vital part of our operations, requiring reliability, energy, and a passion for agriculture. As a Cold Store Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of stock in the cold storage area.
To excel in this position, you should possess excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high level of physical fitness is also essential, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Operate controls to align forklifts and manage stock in the cold storage area, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimising redundant stock.
- Forklift Operations: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to pick products from the cold storage area according to specifications and customer orders.
- Stock Rotation and Stocktake: Complete daily stock rotations and stocktakes within the cold storage area, maintaining accurate records of movements and supplies.
- Product Storage: Ensure goods are labelled, packed, and stored correctly in the cold storage area for easy location and dispatch.
- Transportation: Transport goods to designated areas within the cold storage area, adhering to requirements and regulations.
Requirements:
- A Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence (essential)
- A High Risk Work Licence (essential)
- A relevant Certificate II plus one year of experience or 2 years relevant experience
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, safely and effectively
- Cultural adaptability and willingness to work with diverse stakeholders
- A strong work ethic, respect for others, and commitment to team goals
