Primary Lead Teacher – Learning Support

The Primary Lead Teacher – Learning Support will be responsible for leading a team of teachers in supporting students with disabilities and additional needs.

This involves developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student, as well as monitoring their effective implementation.

The successful candidate will also provide advice and support to teachers on matters related to specific disabilities, and oversee the implementation of specific learning support programs.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Primary Lead Teacher – Learning Support will work closely with parents of students with disabilities, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities and additional needs
  • Monitor the effective implementation of IEPs and make adjustments as necessary
  • Provide advice and support to teachers on matters related to specific disabilities
  • Oversee the implementation of specific learning support programs
  • Work closely with parents of students with disabilities, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students
