Special Care Nursery Nursing Position

The Special Care Nursery unit at our hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care.

As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.

You will work collaboratively with patients and families to make informed decisions about their care, promoting beneficial relationships and a safe environment.

This role requires a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration, a minimum of 3 years' experience in neonatal nursing, and the ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.
  • Developing and utilising strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
  • Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care.

Requirements include:

  • Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in neonatal nursing.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery.
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
