About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Controller to join our team. This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work autonomously while being part of a larger Airworthiness team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, ensuring they remain airworthy and compliant with regulatory requirements. This will involve liaising with various stakeholders, including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), and overseeing maintenance activities.

This is a full-time position based in Hobart, Tasmania, working Monday to Friday with some weekend and on-call work required from time to time. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CASA regulations and manufacturer recommendations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Airworthiness and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with CASA and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing maintenance activities
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities
  • Liaising with maintenance personnel and flight operations
  • Identifying potential safety hazards and implementing risk mitigation measures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Solid knowledge of CASA regulations and manufacturer recommendations
  • Previous experience in an Airworthiness P42 CAMO or CAR 30 Maintenance Controller role
  • A customer-focused approach
  • Experience working remote to head office
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A can-do attitude and strong communication skills
