Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled educator to lead and contribute to the delivery of our Senior School Mathematics curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate teaching of SACE Mathematics in the Senior School, ensuring smooth student transitions and support for accelerated pathways.
  • Lead and contribute to departmental meetings, professional learning, and collaborative curriculum development.
  • Oversee assessment design, proofing, and standardisation to ensure high-quality feedback for students.
  • Maintain curriculum documentation and resources within the Learning Management System.
  • Promote and coordinate enrichment opportunities, such as mathematics competitions and workshops.
  • Provide targeted academic support through maths help sessions and tailored assistance for students with specific needs.
  • Mentor and support new and pre-service teachers during induction.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, annual reporting, staffing proposals, and resource management.

About You:

  • Be a dynamic, knowledgeable, and well-organised educator who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates exceptional curriculum leadership, and fosters both student success and staff development.
  • Bring relevant tertiary qualifications in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, current teacher registration in South Australia, and experience teaching SACE Mathematics at Stage 1 and Stage 2.
  • Have a strong understanding of SACE curriculum, assessment standards, and moderation requirements.
