Job Opportunity: Clinical Clinician

The Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are seeking a clinician to join our team providing clinical services to individuals with various presentations, diagnoses and disability types.

You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services playing an integral part in the personal growth and development of clients. You will form close bonds with your clients and celebrate their achievements together.

Your day-to-day duties will involve working with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve optimal client outcomes. You will assess and observe challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours.

Positive Behaviour Support plans focus on increasing a person's quality of life by improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan and implement it with training regular follow-up and review.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Assess and observe challenging behaviours develop strategies to increase skills and improve emotion regulation.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans with training follow-up and review.
  • Monitor and adjust plans to reduce the use of restrictive practices and enhance client independence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Psychology Counselling Occupational Therapy Speech Pathology Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA) Teaching Social Work Social Sciences Criminology Childhood Education & Care Health Science Allied Health or Nursing.
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner or the ability to become registered.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Intellectual Disability and other complex diagnoses desirable.
  • Valid car and driver's license.
  • National Police Clearance Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain one before commencement.
