Job Description

The Steel Scheduler role involves supporting detailing, fabrication, and installation with a focus on precision, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include interpreting architectural and structural drawings to prepare material take-offs, fabrication schedules, and bar bending schedules (BBS) for structural and reinforcement steel.

Estimate material quantities and prepare cost calculations to support project planning and procurement.

Coordinate and supervise cutting, bending, and fabrication processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Conduct and review laboratory tests on steel to confirm compliance with Australian standards and performance criteria.

Liaise with engineers, drafters, site teams, and production staff to resolve technical issues and ensure correct interpretation of design details.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings.

Assist with quality assurance, inspections, and field data collection to support site execution and project tracking.

Monitor and review work programs, delivery schedules, and production workflows for feasibility and compliance.
