Job Title: Senior Staff Specialist Intensivist

Opportunity Summary:

An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced medical professional to join our intensive care team at a major hospital in Queensland. This role provides specialist intensive care medical services in the intensive care unit, assisting the clinical director and executive director to maintain high standards of clinical services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist intensive care medical services in the intensive care unit.
  • Assist the clinical director and executive director to ensure high standards of clinical services are maintained and delivered efficiently.
  • Contribute to the education and supervision of trainees, medical staff, students, allied health, and nursing staff.

Work Arrangements:

This is a temporary full-time position (80 hours per fortnight) with a possibility of extension. The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

About the Role:

The staff specialist/senior medical officer (intensive care) plays a critical role in providing specialist intensive care medical services to patients in the intensive care unit. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
