We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team at Officer Specialist School.

In this role, you will provide specialist support to teachers and students, assisting with the coordination of educational programs and providing individualized support to students as needed.

You will work collaboratively with our teaching staff, allied health practitioners, and education support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Providing specialist support to teachers and students

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrated capacity to undertake routine and specialized teacher assistant support tasks
  • Demonstrated capacity to work co-operatively and communicate effectively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective behavior management for students with intellectual disabilities
  • Demonstrated experience and/or willingness to give physical assistance with personal care/self-care responsibilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of intellectual disability and its impact on learning
