The Role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Business Manager to join our Finance, Procurement and Estate team in the Australian Government Department of Defence.

  • Assist with business administration activities, including risk and issue management, travel and filing systems, and internal and external audits.
  • Support procurement, contract and budget management for the Directorate.
  • Develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes through effective communication.
  • Identify and resolve business management issues by leveraging expertise.
  • Contribute to onboarding, offboarding and team development activities.
  • Provide secretariat services for governance boards.
  • Foster effective working relationships and participate in team activities.

About the Team

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Support Organisation is responsible for coordinating ERP sustainment services across legacy and new SAP platforms.

Our Requirements

  • Strong initiative and judgment in interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Experience in business management and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft TEAMS and records management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and techniques.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of contract management and Government procurement processes.
