Field Service Technician Job Overview

The role of a Field Service Technician is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), networking equipment, and other electronic devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Repairing and maintaining PC hardware and software as well as electro-mechanical devices such as ATMs and Self-Serve Checkouts requires a high degree of technical expertise.
  • Effective management of parts for service calls is essential to minimize downtime and ensure efficient customer support.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices through continuous training is vital for success in this role.
  • Working autonomously in the field and office to resolve customer issues requires strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
  • Travel may be required, including interstate travel, and the ability to handle tools and parts weighing 1-20kg; perform bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods is necessary.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' experience with electromechanical equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in PC hardware and software repair is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and PR or Citizenship are required.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
