Women's Health Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Women's Health Specialist Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Melbourne. This part-time opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to work alongside passionate clinicians and deliver high-quality women's health care.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for women's health and excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to patient care and good knowledge of women's health issues and organizations supporting women's health in Australia is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with medical procedures, including IUD insertions, Colposcopy and biopsies, and provide post-procedure support and assistance to patients as required.
  • Phone consultations with patients to provide support and education relevant to their needs in the specialized area of women's health.
  • Communication of pathology and other test results to patients, including follow-ups as required.
  • Coordinating patient reminders and recalls as directed by clinicians.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders, such as pathology groups, radiology, and other medical providers.
  • Sterilization, Infection Control, OH&S compliance completed within appropriate timeframes and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Legislation.
  • Supporting the nursing team and multi-disciplinary team in clinic to meet varying demands as required.
About You:
  • A qualified RN Div 1 with current registration with APHRA and relevant experience in Women's Health Nursing.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to patient care and good knowledge of women's health issues and organizations supporting women's health in Australia.
  • Well-developed computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
