Job Title: Building Specialist

The Quilpie Shire Council seeks a skilled professional to undertake construction, maintenance and inspection of council-owned buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake construction and maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide regular work progress reports to the supervisor.
  • Manage electrical goods testing and tagging program.
  • Assist with building specifications and estimates for projects.
  • Inspect and program council buildings' maintenance.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to work requests.
Work Environment:

The position requires working outdoors in changing weather conditions and performing manual labor tasks that require full human movement.

Requirements:
  • Possession of a building trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Current general construction induction card.
  • Current Queensland 'C' class driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills.
