About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Companion to join our team at Prestons Lodge. As a Care Services Companion, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care to residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and engage with their peers.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Aged Care or equivalent.
  • 6 months aged care experience preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the 8 new quality standards in aged care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and cover shifts as required.
