About the Role
McNab is seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction group, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of steel fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide technical expertise and guidance on structural steel matters to the project team.
- Manage the entire steel fabrication process from engagement to shipping, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor McNab's Quality Management System and Quality Management Plan throughout the project.
- Review structural designs for completeness and collaborate with engineers on technical matters.
- Stay up-to-date with Australian safety standards and regulations.
- Oversee proper testing of major weld points and ensure the use of appropriate welding techniques.
- Possess knowledge of third-party testing requirements and various steel grade members.
- Ensure blasting and paint requirements are met, including Class 1 and 2 Painting.
- Document all necessary certificates and warranties.
- Collaborate with the project team to provide input on project planning and outcomes.
- Support design managers by providing feedback and ensuring design timelines are met.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in structural steel and management roles. You should have a valid driver's licence, current passport, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree with at least 5+ years' experience in similar roles within the construction industry.

- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Tekla software
