Assistant Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Officer Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the management of cabinet, executive council, and legislative functions through expert advice on cabinet and parliamentary procedures and processes.
  • Review and critically evaluate cabinet submissions and briefing notes for quality, relevance, and appropriateness.
  • Communicate decisions arising from cabinet and cabinet committee meetings to relevant departmental officers.
  • Coordinate policy advice and options on matters relating to executive government and cabinet.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the department's cabinet-related activities.
  • Nurture effective working relationships within the portfolio and across government.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
