Manager And Cabinet, Legislation And Liaison Officer

**In this role you will**:
- Coordinate and provide advice on policy and operational matters to the Director-General, the Deputy Directors-General and other senior executives on Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary business.
- Coordinate Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary material prepared for the consideration by the Minister and manage the flow of information between the Minister's Office, the department, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Queensland Treasury and other agencies.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of Ministerial briefing notes, Cabinet bag and other Cabinet or Parliamentary documents relevant to the Minister's responsibilities (including Cabinet documentation for proactive release).
- Provide advice on the implications of recommendations contained in Cabinet documents including draft legislation.
- Provide specialist advice and training in relation to the format, timing and security requirements of Cabinet, Executive Council or Parliamentary documents.
- Monitor the department's legislative program and advise the Cabinet Secretariat and Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel on the content and status of legislative proposals.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships/networks within the department and across government to facilitate Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary business; and
- Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours which maintain a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
The position reports to the Director, Portfolio Strategy within Office of the Director-General and manages three direct reports.
