Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing person-centered care and making a real difference in the lives of others. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support to clients in accordance with their individual needs and plans
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
- Providing transportation assistance to clients
- Providing respite care to clients and their families
- Providing overnight/sleepover care
- Assisting with medication administration, ensuring that all necessary policies and procedures are followed
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification
- Certificate 3 in Individual Support or higher
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- A strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its guidelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Access to ongoing training and development opportunities
