As a Handyperson, you will report directly to the Property Operations Manager, and you will have the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team of over 60 Technicians and skilled Handypersons responsible for the upkeep of our Sydney property.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting general maintenance, repair tasks, and cleaning duties for furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the property.
- Performing preventative assessments and maintenance on gaming and other equipment.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of plant rooms and other Facilities Department areas.
- Assisting Maintenance Technicians with their daily responsibilities as needed.
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- The ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as necessary.
- Previous experience in a technical, industrial building, or construction environment as a trade assistant.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for teamwork.
- Knowledge of building services relevant to their trade and the capability to work independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in their respective trade, with a desire to grow in areas such as Electrical, Carpentry, or Joinery.

As a professional in the trade sector, you recognize the significance of maintenance and repair work. Your contributions will be crucial in driving the success of our Property Operations team at The Star Sydney.
