Job Title: Storeperson

At Bis Industries, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our warehouse team. As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in managing our inventory and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

About the Role:

The Storeperson will be responsible for handling the physical movement of parts inventory within our warehouses, workshops, and for external customers. This includes managing the receipt, storage, dispatch, and stocktaking of inventory, while maintaining compliance with our inventory management and WHSE practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory, ensuring accuracy and security of all items.
  • Stocktaking: Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Warehouse Operations: Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and material handling tools.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Bis policies, procedures, and WHSE legislation.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners to support operational requirements.
  • Documentation: Generate and manage shipment and dispatch documentation, and handle inventory records efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Valid Driver's License and Forklift License (HR/LF).
  • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations with familiarity in major ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, or Oracle preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attributes: Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work independently while contributing to team goals.
