Instrumentation Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial processes.

About the Job:

As an Instrumentation Technician, your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments used to measure and control process variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.

  • You will work with a variety of pneumatic, electronic, and microcomputer instruments to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures for these instruments.
  • You will use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, diagnose faults, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Promote loss management principles by identifying areas of inefficiency and implementing corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with process operators to provide expert advice and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument calibration, maintenance, and repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Completed training in First Aid, H2S, CSTS/PST.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in the construction, maintenance, and/or electrical/instrumentation industry is essential, with a minimum of three years of experience in an oilfield industrial environment.
