About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to coordinate our Fire Safety Program on a temporary full-time basis for up to 2 years. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement fire safety projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with BCA and fire safety regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including contractors and building owners
  • Manage and coordinate fire safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety matters to Council staff and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement fire safety training programs for Council staff and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in fire safety, building surveying, or a related field
  • Proven experience in coordinating fire safety projects and initiatives
  • High level knowledge of BCA, fire safety regulations, and Australian Standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
