Allocator & Safety Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable construction company as a Allocator & Safety Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety and efficiency at every site, taking the forefront in coordinating and scheduling for construction projects with their WHS expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Create and manage daily staff allocations, rostering across construction projects
- Update the daily roster to account for changes in worker schedules, site requirements and client requests
- Assess project needs and allocate workers based on their skills and qualifications
- Communicate daily roster updates to each project team
- Coordinate project and staff inductions and site bookings
- Manage and ensure all staff records are up to date
- Review timesheets, correct and address any discrepancies that are required by the payroll department
- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process, review all documentation, check qualifications etc.
- Schedule and coordinate training or certificate renewals
- Preparation, development, review, collation, and distribution of safety communication such as SWMS, toolboxes and safety alerts, and the maintenance of site safety documentation
- Undertake site audits and site compliance checks
- Conduct incident investigations
- Manage corrective actions within required timelines
- Carry out WHS induction training with staff when required
- Assist with preparing induction and safety presentations

Requirements- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Solid Microsoft Office skills for reporting and mapping
- Able to take ownership of tasks & is deadline-driven
- Able to multi-task and problem-solve
- Able to communicate clearly with people from diverse backgrounds
- Flexible approach, while working under pressure to a changing workload
- Has a team attitude and always willing to help out
- Self-motivated, committed, honest and friendly
- Ability to understand EBA & Awards to ensure allocations are as legislated
