Community Speech Therapist

Deliver speech pathology services to participants in schools, homes, and the local community.

The role includes managing an allocated caseload, providing therapeutic interventions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and mentoring early career clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner.
  • Deliver much-needed speech pathology services to participants.
  • Use clinical observations, standardized assessments, and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help participants get more out of life.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Mentor graduates and early career clinicians (for senior clinicians).
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • Passion for working in the disability sector.
