Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Family Support Coordinator to join our team. As a Family Support Coordinator, you will work closely with children, families and carers to provide support for transition to school, attendance and behaviour, and engagement in learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the individual needs of children and their families/carers, providing assistance for transition to school, establishing good attendance and behaviour patterns, and maintaining engagement in learning.
  2. Collaborate with classroom teachers, teacher aides and specialist support staff to understand child needs and connect families/carers with relevant services.
  3. Provide support to vulnerable children from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations young persons with disability and those in care.
  4. Utilize data to identify, implement and assess effectiveness of support measures provided by families on improving school attendance, engagement and educational achievement.
  5. Maintain accurate records and confidential information management activities in accordance with legislation, policy and procedures.
