High-Impact Staff Software Engineer

A key objective for our organization is to foster innovation and excellence. To achieve this, we are seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of sophisticated distributed web applications on the JVM.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java, with experience in Scala, Python, and TypeScript being an advantage. Strong communication and teamwork skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaboration across teams and fostering a positive working relationship between stakeholders and engineers.

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer who can facilitate and orchestrate cross-team initiatives that set a higher standard for reliability, velocity, and security. The selected candidate will have a widespread impact across the organization by guiding the implementation of major projects, assisting in realistic task breakdown, and keeping engineers in sync within and across teams.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of commercial experience developing complex distributed web applications on the JVM.
  • Experience writing Java, with experience with Scala, Python, and TypeScript being a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, both written and verbal.
  • Facilitating collaboration across teams and fostering a positive working relationship between stakeholders and engineers.
  • Experience guiding and mentoring other engineers, helping unblock technical challenges, and being an all-around role model.
