City of Parramatta Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced team leader to join our Parks and Open Space department in a leadership position.

This is an exciting career opportunity where you will lead maintenance teams to create the best parks and open spaces in Australia.

  • Carry out horticultural activities to ensure the City of Parramatta's parks are presented to the highest standards.
  • Make decisions and implement work practices in line with best practices of the Horticulture/Arboriculture/Greenkeeping, trade and industry.
  • Undertake Park and landscaping embellishment works to uplift key parks in our area.
  • Mentor staff within the team and undertake on-the-job training for the team.
  • Undertake the day-to-day management of staff and their assigned tasks.

As the team leader, you will be responsible for overseeing team operations, assigning tasks, planning of works, establishing goals, encouraging open communication and distributing information amongst the team.

**Key Requirements**:

  • Certificate III qualification in Horticulture, relevant to position/area of specialisation (arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, nursery, and sports turf management).
  • Current NSW MR Driver's Licence
  • White Card
