Park Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Park Maintenance Specialist to manage the upkeep of park assets and deliver high-quality services.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining parks and open spaces. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parks infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open spaces, including playgrounds, pathways, lighting, and waterplay parks
  • Oversee inspections, audits, and repairs of assets, working closely with contractors and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met
  • Collaborate on asset management plans and provide input on design development, promoting a culture of safety, diversity, and continuous improvement
  • Manage contracts and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies
  • Enhance digital capability and service delivery through technology, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the board
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent industry experience in the maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open space
  • Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated financial management, procurement, and contract administration experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Knowledge of equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice, and probity at all times
  • Understanding of or experience with quality management frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
