We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Dementia Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality support services to individuals living with dementia and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Support families and caregivers to understand the impact of dementia on daily life.
  • Equip carers and clinicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and respond to behaviour changes.
  • Develop reports that provide contextualised recommendations for improving quality of life.
  • Conduct assessments to understand the holistic experience of individuals living with dementia.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
  • Contribute to research projects and programs to meet the changing needs of the sector.

Requirements:

">
  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health.
