Defence Supply Chain Growth Specialist

The role of the Program Manager, Defence Supply Chain Uplift is to support South Australian businesses in developing the capabilities required to become part of future defence industry supply chains.
">This will be achieved by establishing close relationships with key international defence primes, local businesses and relevant government agencies with a view to developing and delivering programs of work that result in suppliers being able to access future defence contracts.
">To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience working in the defence sector or in industrial supply chains currently qualified or potentially qualified to supply to the defence sector.
">Furthermore, you must have an understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies including the Australian AUKUS Submarine Industry Strategy, Defence Strategic Review, Defence Industry Development Strategy, Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities and the South Australian Defence Industry Workforce and Skills Report and Action Plan.
">Presentation skills are also essential, including the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations and deliver them confidently to various stakeholders such as senior defence officials, government representatives and the business community.
">You will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team under broad policy guidelines, determining priorities, planning, implementing, evaluating and managing tasks, projects and researching and analysing data from various sources.
">Beyond these technical requirements, the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement throughout their tenure.
