Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator

Overview

The role of a clinical nurse educator is multifaceted, requiring the ability to develop and deliver high-quality educational programs for clinical staff.

This position involves formulating and implementing in-service educational programs that promote effective clinical practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To design and deliver training programs tailored to meet the specific needs of clinical staff.
  • To assess and demonstrate clinical procedures to ensure quality care standards are met.
  • To provide mentorship and coaching support to less experienced staff members, helping them enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • To create, deliver, and evaluate education and learning activities that cater to individual learning needs.
Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Relevant post-registration clinical or education qualifications, preferably accompanied by a Certificate in Workplace Training and Assessment, or a willingness to obtain certification.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in the relevant clinical/speciality field, coupled with a demonstrated understanding of competency/skills requirements for delivering quality clinical care.
  • Demonstrated experience as a preceptor/mentor/coacher, with proven ability to utilize contemporary education and teaching methods to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Additional Requirements:

In addition to the above, this role requires a current unrestricted driver's license and the ability to maintain one. The candidate must also be able to drive/travel as needed.
