Job Title:
Senior Clinical EducatorWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our clinical education team.
This is a leadership position that combines hands-on clinical care, staff training, and strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess high-quality competency-based trainings and education to support workers and nursing staff.
- Provide direct clinical care (approx. 11.5 billable hours/week), including wound care, catheter changes, diabetes support, PEG care, tracheostomy care, and more.
- Design, implement and monitor complex care plans for participants with high-risk needs.
- Mobilize a workforce through internal training delivery and reduced waitlist times.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with AHPRA, NDIS, and quality and governance standards.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education, ideally in a disability, community or complex care setting.
- Experience delivering and assessing training aligned to NDIS HIDPA skills descriptors.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
- Experience with ventilated clients, managing complex airways, complex diabetes management, Enteral Feed management, Ostomy care etc.
- Sound knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
- Proven skills in adult education, clinical supervision, and evidence-based care.
- Competence in managing documentation, incident reporting, and audit preparation.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Ability to undertake Intra/interstate travel as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based LMS or compliance systems.
- NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC and unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across metro and regional SA.
