Job Title:

Senior Clinical Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our clinical education team.

This is a leadership position that combines hands-on clinical care, staff training, and strategic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess high-quality competency-based trainings and education to support workers and nursing staff.
  • Provide direct clinical care (approx. 11.5 billable hours/week), including wound care, catheter changes, diabetes support, PEG care, tracheostomy care, and more.
  • Design, implement and monitor complex care plans for participants with high-risk needs.
  • Mobilize a workforce through internal training delivery and reduced waitlist times.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with AHPRA, NDIS, and quality and governance standards.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education, ideally in a disability, community or complex care setting.
  • Experience delivering and assessing training aligned to NDIS HIDPA skills descriptors.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
  • Experience with ventilated clients, managing complex airways, complex diabetes management, Enteral Feed management, Ostomy care etc.
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
  • Proven skills in adult education, clinical supervision, and evidence-based care.
  • Competence in managing documentation, incident reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to undertake Intra/interstate travel as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based LMS or compliance systems.
  • NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC and unrestricted Australian working rights.
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across metro and regional SA.
