At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Assistive Technology (AT) and/or Complex Home Modifications (CHMs), with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, client-centred care.

About the Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and providing intervention for clients aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disabilities. Your expertise in AT and CHMs will enable you to prescribe equipment such as wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, commodes, hospital beds, and mobile hoists, as well as recommend modifications like bathroom alterations, ramp installations, and other home improvements to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide intervention for clients aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disabilities.
  • Prescribe equipment such as wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, commodes, hospital beds, and mobile hoists.
  • Recommend modifications like bathroom alterations, ramp installations, and other home improvements to meet client needs.
  • Provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) Assessments, sensory assessments, functional daily living skills, environmental risk assessments, and skill building.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience prescribing AT or CHMs.
  • A car and valid driver's license.
  • National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain these).
