Principal Mechanical Engineer, Water

About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead diverse and challenging projects in the water infrastructure sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering complex infrastructure projects for Melbourne Water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering and design modeling teams, managing projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Design experience with a strong understanding of industry standards, preferably the Melbourne Region Water Authority Design Standards (MRWA WSAA Standards).
- Assess treatment plant conditions and mechanical structures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Hold an accredited Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility for accreditation.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
