About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead diverse and challenging projects in the water infrastructure sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering complex infrastructure projects for Melbourne Water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering and design modeling teams, managing projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Design experience with a strong understanding of industry standards, preferably the Melbourne Region Water Authority Design Standards (MRWA WSAA Standards).
  • Assess treatment plant conditions and mechanical structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility for accreditation.
  • Proven ability to work in a local engineering consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
