We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to lead a wide variety of challenging projects, including condition assessment commentary on treatment plants and design work for major infrastructure projects in Australia and globally.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Hold an accredited Bachelor of mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Design experience with knowledge of local water industry standards and local codes.
- Proven ability to work in engineering and design modelling teams and manage projects to scope, budget, and program.
- Previous experience gained within a local engineering consultancy environment.
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.
