About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

The role involves diagnosing, servicing and repairing prime movers, tankers, trailers and dollies, as well as performing scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing scheduled servicing, maintenance and engine tune-ups.
  • Diagnosing and repairing air brake, steering, suspension and driveline systems.
  • Troubleshooting ABS/EBS braking systems and vehicle lighting.
  • Maintaining and repairing tanker fuel delivery systems.
  • Ensuring roadworthiness of all vehicles before they leave the workshop.
  • Accurately recording all work completed on fleet assets.
  • Following safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification (Mechanical/Heavy Vehicle).
  • Experience in a similar role (2+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of heavy vehicles and transport equipment.
  • Experience with truck and trailer repairs (road transport preferred).
  • Aircon ticket and Refrigerant Handling License (desirable).
  • Cert II Tyre Fitting (desirable).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance.
