Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, accountable for delivering high-quality patient care in various settings. Guided by knowledge of fundamental nursing principles, the RN utilizes sound judgment and evidence-based practice to provide compassionate and personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Provision: Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinates and delegates care to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient information, medication administration, and treatment plans.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Effective Communication: Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of care plans and progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required; an Associate's degree may be considered with BSN completion within 3 years.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the area of practice (per diem RNs); 2 years of related RN experience for float positions is preferred.
  • Addition education or preparation may be required for specialty units.
Physical Demands:
  • Heavy Work: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
