We are actively seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Engineer for a permanent and contract position with a leading global IT service provider.

Job DescriptionThis role involves designing and implementing data engineering pipelines using Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse and data lake service. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing large volumes of complex data from multiple sources and technologies;
- Developing ELT data pipelines using dbt (data build tool) with Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse;
- Building lean and efficient data transformation pipelines at an advanced level;
- Maintaining strong technical proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing across various database technologies;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-volume data warehousing solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- At least 8+ years of experience in data analysis, integration, modeling, and interpretation;
- A minimum of 2+ years of working experience with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse and data lake service;
- Advanced knowledge of snowflake topics such as RBAC, dynamic tables, and optimization techniques;
- Demonstrable career history working with and delivering high-volume data warehousing solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong technical skills in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing;
- Experience with ETL/ELT and data governance tools;
- Ability to present and communicate effectively to varied stakeholders;
- In-depth understanding of orchestration using Apache Airflow or MWAA and CI/CD pipelines.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
