Job Title: Animation Team Leader

The Animation Team Leader plays a pivotal role in the supervision of an animation team. Collaborating closely with senior animators, they are responsible for guiding the process of choreography and performance, ultimately delivering high-quality animation for feature films.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with animation supervisors to create compelling performances and motion.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior animators, fostering their growth and development.
  • Support animation supervisors in developing project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of shots.
  • Work with animation supervisors to assign tasks to animators and ensure access to relevant reference materials.
  • Solve creative and technical issues affecting animators' work.
  • Collaborate with the build department to guarantee that models meet performance requirements.
  • Ensure the delivery of rigs that meet animators' needs for control, functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and set the bar for the rest of the team.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of experience in computer-generated imagery (CGI), preferably within feature film production.
  • Prior experience as a team leader or supervisor.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and directors.
  • Proficiency in visual and analytical problem-solving in three-dimensional space, including interpreting 3D layouts and analyzing 3D form.
  • Capacity to anticipate and solve problems related to assigned tasks.

Contract duration: 2 years.

Work Environment and Location:

Our company values connection and collaboration, which is why we prioritize spending time together in our office. For this role, we expect candidates to be available to work from the office at least two days per week. If you're not currently based in Sydney, relocation will be required.
