We are seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As an ICU nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and thrive on the variety and unpredictability of emergency and critical care.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for experienced veterinary nurses to work in a dynamic, supportive environment with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide 24/7 emergency and critical care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with anesthesia monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in emergency or specialist veterinary nursing.
- A friendly, easy-going nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic, efficiency, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Diploma of ECC, Veterinary Technician Specialist qualification, or equivalent.
- CPR Recovery Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients.
- Experience in an emergency or specialist hospital.
- Supportive, happy emergency team guided by an ECC specialist.
- On-the-job training and support from senior nurses and veterinarians.
- Encouragement and support for continuing education and professional development.
