Our veterinary hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic and organized nurse who can work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask in a busy setting, prioritize tasks, and provide high-quality patient care under pressure.
The nurse will work closely with our ECC specialist and other members of the team to deliver exceptional patient care. They will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and performing various nursing procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience
- Strong work ethic, efficiency, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work a variety of shifts
- Supportive emergency team guided by an ECC specialist
- On-the-job training and support from senior nurses and veterinarians
- Encouragement and support for continuing education and professional development
- Opportunity to perform nursing at the highest level to a smaller number of critical patients
