Emergency Veterinary Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional emergency and critical care services to pets.

This role involves working in a state-of-the-art facility with a supportive and team-oriented environment. As an ECC nurse, you will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver high-quality patient care under busy conditions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking skills, with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in a general practice, referral, or emergency setting.

  • Job Summary: Provide emergency and critical care services to pets in a state-of-the-art facility.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Work in a fast-paced environment to provide high-quality patient care.
    • Collaborate with experienced professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a general practice, referral, or emergency setting.
  • Availability to work various shifts across a 24/7 roster.
  • Friendly, adaptable, and capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
  • Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring; experience with critical and ventilated patients is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines is advantageous.
