Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Strathdevon in Latrobe. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care to our residents, including those with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, and pain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, taking into account their cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
  • Manage complex care needs, including catheter management, palliative care, wound management, and identification and escalation of clinical deterioration.
  • Provide leadership, support, and education to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants.
  • Promote a harmonious team approach by coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management.
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1.
  • Experience in residential aged care or home care (preferred).
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired).
  • Strong decision-making, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
